What are ARF’s hours of adoption?
ARF is currently open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1PM to 5PM and Saturday from Noon-3PM. We also can arrange adoption by appointment. If you would like to make a donation please email our Executive Director at Vickie@MuncieArf.com.
How does ARF receive its funding?
The Animal Rescue Fund is a local organization with no ties to any national organization. ARF receives 100% of its funding through public donations and grants. ARF receives no government funding. If you would like to make an unrestricted monetary donation to ARF please e-mail, email@example.com for further information.
If I witness animal abuse, or believe I know of an animal that is in direct danger should I call ARF?
Unfortunately at this time ARF has no legal authority. If you witness animal abuse please contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.
What happens if a dog or cat is not adopted after a long period of time?
When an animal arrives at ARF a commitment is made to the animal, a commitment to end suffering, and a promise of a life filled with love. We do not put an expiration date on any animal that walks through our doors, animals are able to stay as long as it takes to find them a home, and in some cases ARF acts as a sanctuary and becomes the animals forever home.
I found an animal, how do I bring it to ARF?
If you have found a stray animal ARF would strongly recommend taking this animal to your closest local veterinarians office and have the animal scanned for a microchip, this is a free service, and the ultimate goal is to unite the animal with its rightful owner. If the animal does not have a microchip and you would like to bring the animal to ARF please call ARF in advance and make an appointment to bring the animal to our facility.
What are some ways I can help ARF?
There are many ways individuals from all backgrounds can help ARF carry out its mission. You can donate, volunteer, save aluminum cans, or adopt. For more ways to help ARF visit our, “Giving to ARF,” page.
I do not want my pet any longer can I bring it to ARF?
If you are in the unfortunate situation where you are no longer able to keep your family pet and would like to surrender your pet to ARF it is important that you call ARF in advance to make an appointment to meet with the staff and volunteers at ARF before bringing your pet in to be placed in our adoption program. If you have an owned pet you need to surrender to ARF you will need to email Angie for cats (Angie@MuncieARF.com) or Vickie for dogs (Vickie@Munciearf.com) to check spaces for owner surrender animals. We do ask that your pet be current on shots before being surrendered to ARF. We only accept owner surrender pets by appointment so please contact Angie or Joyce before bringing your cat or dog to ARF.
