Giving to Arf + Endowment

ARF DonationsARF offers homeless animals the promise of a loving and full life by providing them shelter, medical care, and love until their permanent “forever” homes can be found. Your support will help ARF fulfill this promise to homeless dogs and cats.

Donate Items

Caring for the homeless animals at ARF requires lots of money, time, supplies and equipment. We occasionally post a wish list of items and we are always in need of cleaning supplies, cat liter, pet food & paper products.

ARF VolunteersOne of the greatest gifts anyone can give is the gift of time. If you are interested in becoming an ARF volunteer, please come to the Adoption Center and pick up a Volunteer Handbook Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 1-4. We do not accept new volunteers on Saturdays. Volunteers must be 18 years old. We are no longer accepting volunteer applications online.
Groups wishing to volunteer must email and contact ARF two weeks before to schedule a time and date.

Monetary Donations

If you would like to make a monetary donation to ARF you can donate online through PayPal with the link below or you can use the link in the sidebar to do a direct transfer from your bank or via check. Save your Cans, Save a Life

By saving your aluminum cans and bringing them to ARF, ARF is able to use the money earned from recycling the cans to save abused, neglected, homeless and unwanted animals. The can drop off location is in the front our parking lot and open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Simply bring your cans out in bags and toss them into our collection barrels – its that easy! Since this project began ARF has been able to raise thousands of dollars, and save countless lives. Save your cans, save the environment, and save a life!

The ARF Endowment

ARF has grown drastically over the last decade, and plans to continue growing in new ways.  In the begining ARF was incredibly limited by space.  At best, ARF could only safely house twenty to thirty animals at one time.  Presently we are able to safely provide housing for over one hundred adoptable animals and another thirty permanent residents on any given day.  But, along with increased adoptions and lives saved comes increased cost associated with running ARF.  For ARF to achieve a balance between saving lives and financial stability, we must rely on the support of the community.  Please consider making a gift to The ARF Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County.

Friends, it is with an extremely heavy heart we write this. Today, we had to make an excruciating decision. Hazel Grace's xrays today showed what we had feared. Hazel was still unable to have bowel movements on her own, and would not regain use of her bowels. For the last 5 days, Hazel knew love and showed us unconditional love. We had three veterinarians examine xrays and discuss options. All 3 were in agreement that her prognosis was poor and long term quality of life was poor due to infection risks, etc. As hard as it was to make this decision, it was hard every day to come in and see her in the condition she was in. ARF staff were with her at the end, and we want everyone to know if there was anything we could do to possibly make her life better, we would have done it. We wish we had better news to share, but we also are thankful that her last days were happy days and she was loved, warm, and had a full belly. As the vet said, had she not come in, she would have passed away out in the elements sooner rather than later left in the shape she was in. ... See MoreSee Less
